It's great getting old(er)
So, I ran a 5K race last Saturday for the first time in well over a year. Figured turning 70 was a good reason; not too much competition now. Supposed to be a flat course, that's why I agree to it. Not. But I finished in a shameful 38 something, I guess. I felt like I was running pretty hard, actually. Anyway, I got first place in my age group 70 to 98, since I was the only one in the entire race that old. And what adulation I got when I went up to get my medal. Just for being old. Never got that kind of respect when I was 69.

Sorry, been busy
What is it with a new toy(Facebook)? You just don't make time for the old(blog), once the novelty wears off. I cherish my spare time more than ever since I started watercolor painting. So my computer time has been short changed and by the time I sift through all the stuff I find on FB it's time to move on.
Actually blogging is more satisfying than FB, but it has availed me the opportunity to peek into what's going on in my family and friends' lives. It has provided some interesting tidbits of information that keep me more current on what's going on with them.
But blogging gives me the place to put down my inner thoughts that probably only amuse and interest me. But that's ok, too. We all find ourselves to be the most pertinent person in our life. Not the smartest or most entertaining, necessarily, but most important to ourselves probably.
